DOBRESKI PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL LEAGUE

The Dobreski Professional Baseball League(DPBL) was founded in March of 2005. The DPBL is a alternate history baseball league beginning in the 1975 Major League Baseball season. While it does emulate MLB, everything is not exactly the same. There is no designated hitter and it is safe to say there will never be one. Expansion will eventually take place modeled after MLB in terms of the exact years that teams are added. However, the new expansion teams will not necessarily be the same ones that were born in MLB. Traditional minor league cities and minor league teams with a great history will be added to DPBL instead. The amateur draft will also be slightly different than MLB. Instead of taking place in June, the DPBL draft will take place in the offseason and will consist of 20 rounds. Today is your chance to relive history, baseball history the DPBL way.
